What types of information does CPS Research collect online?

Who within CPS Research will have access to personal information about me?

Personal information can be accessed by a restricted number of CPS Research employees. 

All CPS Research employees are fully GDPR trained and are aware of the importance of privacy and how to handle and manage customer data appropriately and securely.

How does CPS Research secure personal information?

It is CPS Research’s practice to secure each web page that collects personal information; however, the confidentiality of personal information transmitted over the Internet cannot be guaranteed. We urge you to exercise caution when transmitting personal information over the Internet, especially personal information related to your health. CPS Research cannot guarantee that unauthorised third parties will not gain access to your personal information; therefore, when submitting personal information to CPS Research websites, you must weigh both the benefits and the risks and only after considering the benefits and risks should you progress to provide any personal information.

Does CPS Research transfer personal information to jurisdictions outside of the United Kingdom?

CPS Research does not transfer personal information to different jurisdictions unless you give express permission to do so. CPS Research will clearly notify you when data you enter may be transferred to another jurisdiction. CPS Research is bound by the General Data Protection Regulations pertaining to the United Kingdom Jurisdiction. 

What choices do I have about how CPS Research collects and uses personal information about me?

You may always limit the amount and type of personal information that CPS Research receives about you by choosing not to enter any personal information into forms or data fields on CPS Research websites. Some of our online services can only be provided to you if you provide us with appropriate personal information, if you are unable to complete the personal information we require our systems are designed with safeguards to ensure you do not progress. On occasions we may be contracted to obtain a survey response to allow a third party to follow up with you directly to ask further questions about the health information you have submitted.  We would outline this in the survey from the outset as well as obtaining your express consent to this sharing of information.

CPS Research does not knowingly collect or use any personal information directly from children (we define “children” as minors younger than 16) on CPS Research websites. We do not knowingly allow children to communicate with us or use any of our online services without the presence and consent of a parent or guardian.

How will I know whether CPS Research has updated this policy?

Without prejudice to your rights under applicable law, CPS Research reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy without prior notice to reflect technological advancements, legal and regulatory changes, and good business practices.

If CPS Research changes its privacy practices, an updated version of this Privacy Policy will reflect those changes and we will notify you of such changes by updating the effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
