We know that access to GP surgeries has been difficult during the pandemic and many practices are struggling to provide the routine services they would like to. As a result, many people have not had their blood pressure or blood sugar levels checked recently.

That’s why CPS Research is pleased to be offering free, quick health checks to our valued participants on our research register.

One of our nurses will:

– Take your information – prior to screening with your consent

– Check your blood pressure

– Check your blood sugar

– Check your BMI

– Discuss values that need further evaluation by your GP practice

– You will receive a written record of these values

We are running several studies at the moment looking at raised blood sugar, cardiovascular disease and prediabetes and our team will be able to advise you on this and provide further information if you are interested.

These studies are important for developing new treatment options and often have financial remuneration.

We hope this information will prove useful in supporting the health of our community while taking some of the pressure off the NHS at this difficult time.
